About the event

Meeting point is Tottenham Hale Station, on the Victoria line (You can easily reach here from stations like Seven Sisters, Bruce Grove, Blackhorse Road Station, St James Street, and Walthamstow Central) Looking to escape the city and soak up some nature this weekend? Join us for a refreshing day out at River Lee Country Park, just north of London. We’ll hike for around 5 hours (plus lunch/ photo breaks) through a scenic route that winds past lakes, marshes, wildflower meadows, and wooded trails. Expect beautiful wildlife, wooden sculptures, and plenty of peaceful, open space to reconnect with nature.

🧺 Halfway through, we’ll stop for a relaxed lunch in a lovely spot - so bring your packed lunch, water, and comfy walking shoes. The trail is mostly flat and dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry companion!

🚆 Meeting Point: Tottenham Hale Station (easy access via Victoria Line & Overground) There is a Starbucks just outside the station, we will meet out front. 🕘 Meeting Time: 11:30 am

🥾 Route: Walthamstow Wetlands → Gunpowder Park → River Lee Valley Park → Finish at Broxbourne Station (direct trains back into London)

🍻 After the hike: Optional pub stop near Broxbourne or park hangout with drinks - weather’s looking lovely!

🚗 Prefer to drive? Plenty of parking available at both ends.

🐾 Dogs welcome - they’ll love it too. 💷 Hike leader fee: £7 - helps cover planning, coordination, and your guide for the day.

Laid-back, no pressure - just a proper Saturday out with good people, open skies, and a trail worth taking. 🌞
