🗺️ Trail Route: Folkestone to Dover

(North Downs Way + England Coast Path)

After arriving at Folkestone Central, we’ll make our way to the Folkestone Harbour Arm, taking in coastal views, art installations, and maybe even grabbing a coffee by the sea to start our journey.

🌊 The route includes:

  • Folkestone Harbour to East Cliff – A coastal path past Martello Towers, sea-inspired sculptures, and the Zig Zag Path, a Victorian clifftop ascent.

  • The Warren – A stretch of wild coastal beauty with railway arches nestled between dramatic cliffs.

  • Capel-le-Ferne – Cliffside walk to the Battle of Britain Memorial, a reflective and scenic stop.

  • White Cliffs Path – A breathtaking walk along the National Trust-protected England Coast Path with panoramic views of the Channel.

  • Shakespeare Cliff & Samphire Hoe – Optional descent to a hidden beach if time and weather allow.

  • Approaching Dover – Spot Dover Castle as we pass Shakespeare Cliff Halt, then wind down along the Dover Seafront.

🎯 Final Stop: Dover Priory Station — return train to London from here.
